Felt like going a little radical with this photo of a bee balm plant in the rain storm.  Added the oil paint filter in Photoshop.  Thought it looked cool.

We were doing a little archery in my Grandma's backyard this evening so I decided to see if I could catch an arrow in flight.  Took this one while my brother-in-law was shooting.  Had the shutter set on 1/2000 of a second and it was still blurry.  Suckers get zipping out of a Matthews pretty quick.

All cleaned up and ready to hit the water. I grew up with this canoe. Grandpa bought it in 1981, when I was 4 years old. Took many a float with him in this. He got a newer Radison a few years ago and gave me this one. Many memories, and it's still got many more left in it.

Went over to the family hunting grounds again this evening to see what we could see. These 2 young bucks came around behind us. Took this picture through the back window and the weeds. Turned out alright though. The one on the right is either a 6 or 7 point and the other one is a y. They did not like the looks of the Jeep and took off right after this shot.

Went over to the family hunting grounds this evening to see what I could see coming into the field to eat.  You can see some turkeys in the field in this picture.  Was a really pretty evening from up on the top of the hill.

Hit the trail with Tim Champion again today. We hiked the Rail 66 Country Trail from Lutz Drive to CarMate in Leeper. Was another beautiful day to be on the trail. What made it even more beautiful was the fact that we didn't have to give way to any ATV's. Pretty sure we weren't going to move out of the way anyway.

Actually.... the more I think about it..... I was definitely not moving out of the way.

Went for a walk on the Rail 66 Country Trail today with Tim Champion. We had a great time. Hid "some" geocaches and enjoyed the peacefulness of the woods.

Got my membership and a shirt tonight for the newest trail in Clarion County, The Rail 66 Country Trail.  Will wear it with pride and hope to see it paved the entire way through Northern Clarion County in the next few years.

That is if short-sighted individuals don't derail it.  The infinite stupidity of a large portion of the area that I live in never, ever, ever ceases to amaze me.

Went on the Clarion Chapter of the North Country Trail Association's Full Moon Hike this evening.  We hiked under the "Super Moon"  I took this photo from the River Hill Trail head at the end of the hike.

Went to Dubois Hospital today to see my new neice Ariana. I had to get a head start picking on her. Put her blindfold on cause I thought it looked cute.  Before anybody starts saying how horrible that is.. she was sleeping.

I call this the field by my house, but it is more like a very young forest.  Since we moved in 7 years ago, these trees have gotten bigger and bigger.  Really glad that my neighbor is letting them grow like this.  By the time I'm an old man, it'll be a healthy forest.

Every once in a while, I see an opportunity to create something that is very different from something very ordinary.  And most of the time, it ends up being interesting to only me. :) This is a photo of a little "stream" that was created along the edge of my property by the downpour that we had a little while ago.  I purposely left it out of focus and then added an oil paint effect in Photoshop.  There may be something wrong with me. :)

Helped my friend, Gene Stiglitz, put a roof on his house today.  During lunch break, I took a photo of one of his flowers I liked.  Thought that was going to be my photo for the day until I saw this on my way home.  Pulled into the pull-off on the edge of the Callihan farm and snapped this picture of a gorgeous sunset.  The clouds are as red as my sunburnt fact. :)

My little sister was riding her new bike on my Grandma's back porch and new that I was looking for a photo for the day. She said that I should take a picture of her on her new bike, so I did. On a technical note, I was so focused on the subject that I didn't realize the sunshine beaming over the top of the roof was going to blow out in the top of the photo. Oh well, my sister looks cute even with the blown out grass behind her helmet.
