I find myself, as anticipated, still on a black and white photo kick.  Just love this building coming out of Cook Forest State Park and today I stopped and photographed it.

If you've been regularly watching my photo posts the last 2 years, you have probably noticed something.  All of a sudden, for several days in a row, nothing looks good to me unless it is black and white.  So for the second day in a row.... a black and white HDR image.  Helen Furnace this evening.

Didn't get out for much of a photo today.  Spent the whole day working in the house.  Won't be long till I fill these and watch birds against a bright, white landscape.

2014 Daily Photo Project - Day 196 - 9-20-2014

Went on the Clarion Chapter of the North Country Trail Assocaition's monthly hike today.  We decided to leave the NCT and head into the Allegheny National Forest to explore the Hearts Content area.  As soon as I saw the monstrous living trees, I knew my abilities behind a camera could not do them justice.  So I found myself finding that there is in fact life after death.  This tree was absolutely massive.  You can get a perspective of it's size by the smaller dead one beside it.  It is the size of tree that you usually find laying along the trail while you are strolling through the woods.  This tree lived probably several of my lifetimes before crashing to the floor.  Incredible.

Was at my Grandma's house after work today and we spent some time on her sidewalk talking while I photographed this beauty. This might be one of my favorite photos that I have taken in a while. Just draws you in I think.
